What seva means to a young Arya Vysya

Our elders built choultries, temples and schools. Our generation’s seva looks different — but it comes from the same place.

Walk through almost any town in Tamil Nadu and you will find something an Arya Vysya family built for others: a choultry for travellers, a temple mandapam, a school building, a water tank. Giving back has always been part of who we are.

Seva in our time

For our generation, seva often looks like:

  • An hour at a blood donation camp — the easiest life you will ever save.
  • Serving annadhanam at a temple or hospital, shoulder to shoulder with friends.
  • Mentoring a student preparing for college or a first job.
  • Giving your skills — accounts, design, software, law — to a community project.

Why do it together

Alone, we help one person. Together, as a youth wing present in every district, we can help thousands — and we build friendships that last a lifetime.

Service is not something we do for the community. It is how we become one.
